I want to add an internal bluetooth module to my T410i, cause it doesn't have a BDC nor (apparently) a socket where a BDC could be installed:
So the only choice I have left is to replace the internal WiFi Module (FRU 60Y3231) with one that supports WiFi and Bluetooth.
I already tried installing the Mini PCIe WiFi + Bluetooth Module from a R61i in the T410i (slot under the mainboard), but on boot it said: "1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in".
That's why I'm asking here now, cause I don't want to buy a module and notice later that it's not compatible, not authorized or whatsoever.
Do you know if it is possible to install a Bluetooth + WiFi module (ideally BT 4.0)? Or do I have a BDC socket on my T410i (in this case please tell me where I can find it)?
Thanks in advance!
BT is mounted on the underside of the keyboard bezel.
Instructions in HMM.
Check out The Boardroom for Parts, Mods and Other Services.
So the socket I marked in the following picture is the bdc socket?
And according to this post I then should be able to install a BT 4.0 module in it, right?
