Inspired by the 51nb mod to convert the dock's Ultrabay SATA into another internal MSATA slot for X220 and X230 laptops.
I like having my T500's DVD drive but see value in another internal storage drive. With a no-whitelist BIOS applied, the WWAN or Turboscam slot could be converted to an internal USB port. This, then, can be used to power the DVD drive using something like this and freeing the Ultrabay's SATA for an internal MSATA device.
Such a mod only has appeal for internal DVD drive users like myself. Otherwise a typical Ultrabay to HDD adapter does the job for increasing storage.
