Unfortunately the 410 does not get it.

I havent felt any slowdown as yet however its only been a few hours.

I assume the 520 series gets it too.

Hi. My new roommate happens to own a T420s. After downloading the file, what's the next step? Does he just click the file and the BIOS will update itself?
Has plans to make a Frankenpad. Please sell a Thinkpad T60 or T60p with a 1600x1200 screen resolution to me. :D

First, check the BIOS settings. IIRC some models have an option to allow BIOS flashing.

Disconnect from the Internet, then temporarily disable all antivirus software, as some antivirus can interfere with the BIOS flash.

Run the BIOS update program with Administrator privileges.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

The BIOS update program is the file/files my roommate will download from the site, right? What happens if his T420s doesn't have the option to have BIOS flashing? Just to make sure I don't give him a wrong set of instructions.

Why reinvent the wheel? Have your roommate Google " lenovo t420 bios update instructions", the first link after the search is from Lenovo with detail instructions and videos.
