Touchpad Unresponsive

Hi there,

Just got the motherboard changed on my W520, from "fully tested 2nd hand parts" (fully really?) and the workshop guy made me noticed that the touchpad was not operational on the day I went to pick up my unit.

I've done a search about this issue before I'd blame the hardware or the poor craftsmanship of my workshop guy and I found this

Just checked my update history and I'm indeed on 1803.

So I've opened my device manager to see is the driver is there but it does not seem to be listed, all is there is the mouse and PS2 trackpoint

Anyone had this issue and solved it on W520 please let me know before I switch to full hardcore troubleshooting mode and spend hours on that.

Have you checked the touchpad connector is seated correctly

Should only need to take the keyboard off to check

Many thinkpad users disable this in the bios and I know that I definitely would so I assume you have checked there first.
