T500 keyboard in a t520

I picked up a couple t520's "for parts" off of ebay. I'm fixing them up and installing linux mint to give to some of the neighborhood kids to use for school. The keyboards are trash. T500 keyboards are about half the price. Any chance they can be made to work?

1. They physically don't fit.

2. The Fn and Windows keys won't work.

Enable 2 finger scroll on any Synaptics touchpads with registry.
