Turns out you cant drop them from any height... One very dirty workshop rig that took a dive from a lorry cabin.
Still works fine. It seems however the keyboard is messed up. Seems like it ripped the stud right off and its loose. And i've got a dozen dead keys and stuck key warning on boot.

Concrete - 1 Thinkpad - 0 (Image warning)
Re: Concrete - 1 Thinkpad - 0 (Image warning)
OUCH, those exterior damaged ThinkPad pictures remind me of a partially damaged Terminator...
both takes a licking and keeps on ticking!
It's a testament to the durability of our solidly-built ThinkPads in general...
and why we stick with ThinkPads

Looks like cosmetic damage. The magnesium frame looks intact, just the outer plastics broke.
Speaking of Terminators, someone on Redditt put a sticker of a Terminator's head on his Thinkpad, with one eye right on the red LED on the lid.
Another did the same but with the Linux mascot penguin.

Frame definitely took damage but looks whole. Might be able to coax it back into shape with a hammer.
Its definitely getting repaired though. Managed to get a heap of parts for it.
