At what point did they stop making ThinkPads with the magnesium "roll cage" like the T400 and earlier? They're nice to work on, strong and light- Thanks

I believe the T400 for the full magnesium cage, the T430 for the sudo magnesium cage, and the Yoga S1 has a magnesium exoskeleton.

T430 is a magnesium "Plate" type chassis inside the main body of the machine.

You know, I don't think they are any stronger than new models that replaced them. And they are most definitely not lighter.

0. I guess by implication that T400 had magnesium rollcage for both LCD lid & body...
1. For the LCD lid & body:
For what it's worth, to quote another user,
"T400s and after (T410, T420, etc.) only had the magnesium alloy one in the body. The lid roll cage got replaced with a "next-gen rollcage", which is basically a carbon fiber/fiberglass shell..."
2. When did ThinkPad remove the body rollcage in the T4xx series?
I don't know, to be honest...
