How to tell LED backlight vs fluorescent on T series?

Is there a way to tell using the model/serial numbers? I know a neon lamp test will work, but short of that how to tell? I believe Lenovo had that info somewhere on their website?

I have a t400 with LED backlight; I was able to verify on the Lenovo site some time ago, but apparently the database info has been purged
It's possible to wave a small neon lamp around the edge of the screen, if it lights it's flourescent backlight, if it doesn't it's LED
I wanted to buy another t400 like it on Ebay but most sellers don't have neon lamps handy
