Thinkpad T400 Name Power Strip Bezel

#1 Post by supergavo » Wed May 22, 2019 3:14 pm

Hello i have a classic Thinkpad T400 Vista original era
It needs a keyboard - fine
Yet there is a strip above the keyboard running horizontally - it has the power button , blue "Thinkpad " button and sound controls onboard
The strip is to the right of the Esc key
It does not seem to be a part of the deck bezel
Can anyone provide me with the actual name of this part for replacement

thank you :D :?:

Its part of the keyboard and there is no FRU for it. Find a replacement keyboard and swap the whole keyboard.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

By the way i traveled overseas with an old some would think obsolete IBM Lenovo T60 3 gigs of Ram with a ssd
32 bit Windows 7
I had no issues what so ever
The DVD is proprietary connector so i could not insert a storage drive into the dvd bay

Yes you can you just need a T60 SATA Ultrabay adapter. Do note that it is through a SATA -> IDE bridge so it will only run at IDE speeds.
