I just got into the world of thinkpads. I bought a T420 at a good price but bad battery. I have a hard time getting hold on the 70++ or (70/70+ but I want the ++). One online source say the 25/25+25++ is compatible, is that true? Lenovo site say only SL410, SL510, edge 14" etc, no t-series. It's a lot of money to be trusting on one source where official site says no lol.
Second question is the ultrabay battery, what model should i be trying to find? hard to find that too here in europe...
many thanks in advance

Many thanks for the reply. I'm surprised the ultrabay battery is not compatible since it has the slot, but I can live with that. If I actually need more batterylife I will try to get the slice, if I can find it.theterminator93 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 4:01 pmThere is no ultrabay battery for the T420 - only the T420s, its slimline cousin. As for the main battery, 70 or 55 will work. The 55 is the same as the 70 but doesn't have the security chip used by *30 series machines to authenticate the battery as a "genuine Lenovo". 70 and 55 will work the same in the *20 and *10 series, but only 70 will work in the *30.
But first things first I'll go for the 55 or 70 and see if that is enough, the slice seems heavy and bulky lol. Any recommendation where to even buy reliable batteries? I want OEM if possible but the Lenovo site doesn't list them in the EU.
