T500 backlight fuse location?

#1 Post by TPFanatic » Sat Nov 23, 2019 8:18 pm

I was not careful doing an LED mod on my T500 and in my testing damaged something (visible spark). The backlight does not turn on with either the LED-modded LCD and no longer with a CCFL LCD, although data goes to the LCD visible with a flashlight.

I'm presuming I blew my backlight fuse and would like to find and replace it. This thread indicates the backlight fuse is F7. Any more hints where it may be located?

edit: I found F7, it's just south of the southeast corner of the LCD cable connector. Image: https://i.imgur.com/AlgrL5jl.jpg

edit: I harvested an F7 from a dead planar and piggy-backed it on top of the dead F7. Backlight's back and LED mod's functional.
