I have a thinkpad T420 that I used for work but have now left there but still have the laptop.
I can no longer log into it as I believe its connected to the work domain and user name/password dont work krogerfeedback.
I dont want anything on the laptop just want to factory reset it so my daughter can use it for school work.
I only have the laptop . No discs or anything.
Is there anyway I can access to reset the lot and start again for her to use it?

Or have a look here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=128170 to get a T420 recovery set for W7 64-bit.
Basic-install it, then if you are so inclined, upgrade to W10 this weekend while it's still free (till January 15 only).
Or don't update and tell W7 to never update. It will work fine for another few years.
My own laptops are running W7/x64 since 2016 without any updates or problems.
Or rather: install Linux-Mint/Cinnamon "Tricia" from here: https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3832
It will auto-wipe/reformat the blocked OS that's on it now.
