[T410] Killing question: plastic, really ?

#1 Post by WarMachine » Sat May 15, 2021 6:16 am

Hello, :)

I was talking with my colleague this morning about the T400s, the T410s and the T410 non-s.
RAM on these machines is accessible after releasing a plate, which isn't the same on each of these models.

The plate of the T410s and T400s have the same form, but the T410s one seems to be thinner and more fragile (and the screw isn't the same, and the paint neither). But it's metal. Well, I look twice, and with my eyes opened (it's useful sometimes :D). The plate on the T410s is plastic.

For the T410 (which I like very much otherwise), I'm disappointed as the plate is made of plastic too! :?

My question is : each T410 has a plastic plate or are there models with metal plate ? Needless to say I looked at the T420 and the T430 ones, and they're not compatible.

Thanks ! :)

W.

Most probably they are made of carbon fibred plastic or even titanium in some of their classic models.
