Matrix loop and display

Hello everyone! What kind of loop can I replace the loop of the matrix of the T400 laptop? Which display with the extension of 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 can I use to replace the display of the T500 laptop? Which matrix loop can I use for a T500 laptop? I have found on the internet that any T61/T61p 1920x1200 laptop display fits any T500 laptop. How true is this? Will any T61/T61p laptop matrix cable fit any T500 laptop? I plan to replace the matrix loop and the T500 laptop display with another matrix loop without a microphone and a 1920x1200/1920x1080 display. After replacement, the laptop should boot from libreboot.

No idea what you you mean with a loop or a matrix.
T500 can use 1920x1200 screens, same as in T61 series.
But T500 and T61 use different LCD-cables, read their manuals (from the HMM link above).

Loop - Display Cable https://www.ebay.com/itm/274883390501
Matrix - Display https://www.ebay.com/itm/171952606839
The display is completely/Display assembly - https://www.ebay.com/itm/154626141755
Page https://thinkpads.com/support/hmm/thinkpad-hmm.html shows that cable FRU no. 44C5385 is used for laptop T500/W500 (file 43y6630_04.pdf, page 234), and cable FRU no. 93P4513 is used for laptop T61/T61p 15.4 (file 42x3546_04.pdf, page 159). That is, you can replace the laptop display T500/W500 with display T61/T61p without replacing the cable and it will work, but if you replace the laptop display T500/W500 with display assembly (with LCD-cable) T61/T61p, it will not work? Did I understand correctly? I can use the laptop W500 1920x1200 and will not need to change the display, but what cable without a microphone can replace the laptop W500 cable? Laptop cables T60/T60p/T61/T61p, T400s, R500 without microphones.

You need to get yourself organised.
T400/R400 have 14.1" widescreen (WXGA/WXGA+)
T500/R500/W500 have 15.4" widescreen (WXGA/WXGA+/WUXGA)
T61 models have either:
- 14.1" 4:3 format (XGA/SXGA+) or
- 14.1" widescreen (WXGA/WXGA+) or
- 15.4" widescreen (WXGA/WXGA+/WUXGA)

I already answered your T500/W500/T61 screen question (see above).

PS: that eBay screen is a 14.1" one.

The links to site https://www.ebay.com were provided only for clarity about the difference between the cable, the display and the display assembly. Only for adding photos. Of course, I am aware that laptops T400, R400, T500, W500, R500, T61/T61p have different displays. In the previous post I wrote "laptop T61/T61p 15.4" meaning, of course, only 15-inch laptops with a 1920x1200 display. There is one laptop from each series. Of course, I was only talking about the 1920x1200 display, it seemed obvious to me. The R500 laptop does not have a 1920x1200 display. The W500 laptop does not have a 1280x800 display. And the T500 1920x1200 laptop is apparently so rare that I haven't found any. In essence, nothing is clear about the possibility or impossibility of replacing the laptop T500 cable. From your answer earlier "But T500 and T61 use different LCD-cables", it is impossible to draw either a negative conclusion about the impossibility of replacing the laptop cable T500 with another cable, or a positive conclusion about the possibility of replacing the laptop cable T500 with another cable.

Between them, all same-size screens are interchangeable, but LCD-cables are not.

Thank you, so there is no way to replace the cable.

Hello. I did not create a new topic. How can I configure the operation of two Wi-Fi adapters? Adapter Intel WiFi 5100 is working, the adapter Atheros AR5B95 is displayed in the second slot, but the found networks are not found. If there is only one second adapter Atheros AR5B95, then the found networks are not found either. The button Fn+F5 (TpFnF5) doesn't help.

Fn+F5 will only control the WiFi card in the WiFi slot. My X61 has a damaged WiFi slot, so I moved the card to the WWAN slot; because of that, I cannot turn it on/off using Fn+F5.

Question: did you connect antennas to the Atheros card? Many Thinkpads only have two WiFi antennas, and your Intel WiFi 5100 requires those two.

Another possibility: you may have to cover pin 20 on the Atheros card-- on older cards, there's a WiFi enable/disable signal on pin 20 ; on the WWAN slot, this pin is wired to ground (GND), effectively disabling the WiFi radio. By covering pin 20 on the WiFi card's mPCIe edge connector using a very small piece of electrical tape (Kapton tape may work too), it doesn't get shorted to ground and thus enables the WiFi. I think I did this on the X61 I mentioned earlier (can't remember for sure, it's been years).

Wi-Fi adapters worked with one antenna and sometimes without antennas at all. I connected the antennas to the second adapter Atheros AR5B95. Closing pin 20 helped with the adapter Atheros AR5B95. But earlier the operability was also without closing pin 20. Thank you. But you cannot connect to Wi-Fi using one adapter, disconnect the connection and then connect using the second adapter or vice versa. Only one works as an active one. Also, using TpFnF5, you can disable/enable adapter Atheros AR5B95.
