Info on T500 display

#1 Post by thecobra » Thu Jan 12, 2023 12:28 am

I need to find out whether my display uses CCFL or LED. I opened up my T500 and read the back of the display and it said "42R2710" or "43R2710", I can't remember which exactly, but I can't find anything on these part numbers. My T500's model is 2243-93U. If anyone knows what the display uses, please tell me.

Look at your inverter/LED-card under the LCD.
The CCFL-version has the big orange blob (left on picture): https://www.ebay.ie/itm/255591875576
The LED-version does not (see this picture): https://www.ebay.ie/itm/313771633414

13N7016 1280x800 Samsung LTN154X3-L02 CCFL
would be my guess. Use read-edid or sysfs under linux if you won't open it up again or write down what you see.
