I have a ThinkPad T410 Type 2537.
I am recovering it, the first thing I saw is the internal battery failure (BIOS) and once it turned on the keyboard did not work.
When I removed the backup battery, the laptop turned on, showed the ThinkPad logo and booted the OS. The trackpoint worked and I was able to shut down from the OS.
From the time I shut down, I had no way to turn it on without a keyboard. I bought the battery and keyboard.
The laptop has a lot of dust and stuff so I started disassembling it completely, leaving only motherboard, power supply connection, memory, fan, new keyboard, speakers, display. all of the above out of the case.
Connected: motherboard, power supply, memory, fan, new keyboard, speakers and screen.
Not connected: Hard disk, trackpoint , DVD, WI-fi card, External battery, Internal battery.
I leave about 15 minutes without power and without batteries.
Before connecting the power supply, I connect the internal battery. I connect the power supply and the lamp that is on the screen and illuminates the keyboard, lights up for a few seconds and turns off, at the same time the fan moves for a few seconds, also lights up the light of the horn button, the light of the microphone button, the light of the caps lock key. All the lights go off, the fan goes off and the power button stays on.
I press the power button again, it turns on temporarily and turns off again, 3 to 4 seconds pass and the display lights, the button lights (speaker and microphone) and the Caps Lock key turn on again. The fan turns on. There is no image on the screen and no thinkpad image on the screen.
I let about 3 minutes pass and the fan is still on, the power button is on and there is no image on the monitor.
I press the power button and the fan turns off and the CPU temperature drops. everything shuts down
