Hard drive swap from T410

My MOB seems to have died on my T410 and I'm really not in the mood for this now. Just wondering if I could seamlessly swap the 410 drive into my 430 and have it fire up with none of the troubles I'm not in the mood for, or if I could add it to the open bay and tell BIOS boot from it.. I'm guessing no, because my life is never that easy.

Depending on the OS and maybe on the SATA driver. Seamlessly perhaps not, but it should be doable maybe with a small tweak.

What kind of tweak might it need? I'm fairly clueless about these things. The drive has Linux Mint 21 for an OS.

I don't want to do anything to muck up my 430, because then I'll have nothing. But I think I'd really have to make a monumental blunder to hurt the 430 system

No tweaks needed, worked like a charm.
However I made an unpleasant discovery. I need an ultrabay caddy, coz I couldn't put it in the extra bay without one. Oh well, they seem cheap. I guess you can also make one from an old cd drive, and I have several of those

Edit: NVM, senior moment. :screwy: I have an ultrabay caddy lol.
