While configuring T400 on Lenovo US Website, I found that T9600 (2.8GHz) processor is cheaper than T9400 (2.53GHz)

Any specific difference or just an initial configuration error by lenovo?

where do you see the T9600? I only see T9400

There's been a LOT of typos and errors on the Lenovo site regarding the release of the new models tonight. It seems they are fixing them whereafter people report them... One can wonder how it's possible for them to make so many mistakes, it's really an amazing bad quality from Lenovo.. almost scary.

I did some comparison shopping for T and W series...

Yes, the W500 has WUXGA display and a different/better GPU.

I have configured laptops with same screen options, but as for GPU - you are right.

The T500 doesn't come with a WUXGA display. The W500 you quoted has a WUXGA display, thus they are not configured with the "same screen option".

Just placed my order 5 minutes ago, and the 2.8GHz T9600 was quite a bit less expensive than the T9400. I'm hoping they honor the sale, because it was quite a deal!

Think it's a pricing error? What are the odds my order will be canceled in the morning?

id be [censored] if they made me pay 275 extra for the t9400! but for your sake i hope they honor it. im going to call them tomorrow and see if they can still change my order to include the t9600 at the cheaper price if thats the case...

ahhh they just fixed it... they switched the prices of the 9400 and 9600 so the 9400 is 150 more and the 9600 is 425 more....i wonder if it has been wron gthis whole time and if they will ship me a 9600 since i paid 425 more...
