Well, I ordered a T400s today. Estimated ship date is 7/8...I hope it ships sooner than that, I can't wait!

Specs: SP9400 (2.4GHz), 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, DVD-RW, Intel 5300, Bluetooth.

I'll post a quick review when I get it.

Congrats, nice choice. I buy two or three new ThinkPads each year. Just a guess on my part, tells me that there's a good chance it will ship early. Keep us posted, this is exciting!

I just ordered my new T400s today too. I splurged like crazy, but it was totally worth it.

Specs: 2.53 Ghz, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, DVD RW, Win Bus 64 (w/ Win 7 Pro upgrade), Intel 5300, LoJack, Bluetooth, 2.0MP camera, 5-1 card reader, 4 year warranty.

I'm so excited! Estimated ship date: July 7th

I got my laptop this morning.
It arrived in my apartment complex yesterday, but I was kind of late to pick it up.
So I got it this morning!

Now working with Windows 7!

T400!

Ordered: June 20th (Sat.)
Shipped: June 22nd (Mon.)
Received: June 25th (Thur.)

Posting this from my R51. When it came time to replace this laptop last year, I bought one of Dell's new E series Latitudes. I liked it (mainly for its Thinkpad-like style) but the body started cracking around the screen... not very durable. As it turns out, the Dell and my wife's older Toshiba were both stolen recently, so we spent our insurance money on two new Thinkpads.

I've ordered t400s on July 13. At first, estimated shipping date was today, July 28, but now it's moved all the way to September 17! All because 128gb SSD drives are on back order.

Is this config worth the $? I've been waiting for deals for like 2 weeks...I was configuring a T400 for fun this morning and I saw a banner that says something like "First 300 customers to call gets 20% off"
I figured 20% off is better than cpp so I jumped on this deal

Seeing some members got it in couple days make me can't wait

I just place my order for a T400 yesterday (8/3) at about 4:00 PM Central Time, but I'm starting to get worried about when Lenovo will begin to build my laptop and have it shipped out lol. Classes are starting soon and I hope to be receiving my laptop within about 10 days. After reading a lot of these posts some people are having to wait a long time and face delays while others are getting it within 10 days, which is worrying me because Lenovo still hasn't billed me yet. I know it's still early, but I guess I'll have to be patient and see! The estimate ship date is 8/13. Anyone else recently ordered a T400? Anyone know if a specific part is causing delays? Thanks!

@cheetahz - I ordered it on July 31st and estimate ship date is 8/12 Probably something will happen by the end of this week

Yea I hope somehng will happen. I really don't want to wait 4+ weeks to get a laptop. I just checked my status now and nothing. The worst part is my iPhone is pretty much my computer right now lol. It's not that bad, but I prefer a laptop! Lol

No. No tracking number here for me too. I'm still waitng for that too. I spoke with a Lenovo representative and they said I should receive a tracking number within 2 business day after I received that email. It's been more than 2 business day and I haven't seen anything. I've read on a forum that some people receive the laptop before they even receive the tracking number. I guess we'll have to call in to check the status or just wait it out and see.

I just received another email from Lenovo stating that it's just been shipped.

Edit: I just checked the status and it said shipped on 8/8/09, but no tracking yet. I'll check tomorrow morning to see if there is a tracking number! I'm so excited!

Same here! I got another shipping confirmation email and got a tracking number on order status page.
From what I see on another forum...the first shipping conformation is for the privacy filter
