I ordered a t400 with led. But when I checked the order status on line, it says "42X6318 ** SBB 14.1 W X G A +TFT " So I called lenovo for clarification. They told me it is led.
But it's weird not to say it online. Does anyone else meet this problem? your order is led but the order status tells another story?
42X6318 ** SBB 14.1 W X G A +TFT
LED

Same thing here. Oh yeah, what's the resolution on that?

I had the same thing and asked that in some other thread on this forum. It is the LED like you said. And just to clarify it is not a mistake on the order status it is just vague... it says the wxga+ screen and camera if you ordered one but it doesnt say if it is the CCFL of the LED. did anyone order a CCFL and if so what does it say on your order status sheet?

Correction, the WXGA+ on the LED backlight is higher resolution as noted in the product specs sheet at the top of the forum and quoted below
"WXGA+ W/LED backlight (1680x1050, 129dpi, 200+ nit)"

As much as I wish this was the case, I believe this is an error in the promotional literature. As far as I can tell, the highest resolution screen with the T400 is the WXGA+ at 1440x900. For WSXGA+ (1680x1050), you have to go with the T500.

Work the math out -- the diagonal of a 1680x1050 display at 129dpi is 15.36". You're not going to fit that in a 14.1" notebook. At least not and have it function.

well 14" UXGA screens are out there so that's like 136ppi or something. I'm using a 14" SXGA+ so it should be more than possible - just go 120 pixels to the left and right
Yes yes, i know it's not that simple but i wish it was available. I checked out WXGA+ though and it's not so bad. it's the same width that i'm used to but 150pixels shorter which just means i gotta scroll .1 times more.
While typing on this page, i assume the 150pixels would cut off the submit button at the bottom.

What you guys are missing is that if you add 100 pixels to each side of a 14.1" SXGA+, then the display gets bigger. It becomes a 15" display - not a 14" widescreen.

Well yeah, i know a 14.1" WS is physically smaller than the normal 14" only wider. The physical height isn't much of a problem though, just the resolution.
