t400/t500 vs t61 15.4in

why does the t61 have 15.4in have longer battery life?!
i am so confused. t61 15.4 is rated for 10hrs, t400 for 8hrs, and the t500 for 4hrs.

wait are we looking at the same batteries and all that?

A T400 can get a max of 13hrs or so with the 9 cell plus 3 cell media bay battery (total 12 cells)

A T500 can get a max of 8.5hrs (same sheet)

a T61 is something like 7hrs or something.

i was just looking at max battery life for all the models, its on the features tab when you look at t-series thinkpads
