vista 64-bit fingerprint drivers

#1 Post by shinigami7th » Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:41 am

I juz received my shiny new thinkpad T400 2768-AA6 :D . Immediately after that, I proceeded to do a clean install of a 64-bit vista (using the guide found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=144783 ). However, I couldn't find the driver for the 64-bit driver for the fingerprint reader.... Any ideas?

Btw, I found the 64-bit driver for the japanese version of 64-bit vista..... Right here: http://www-06.ibm.com/jp/domino05/pc/do ... D0-0384AF0
It actually surprises me that the japanese lenovo is more up to date with the drivers

Americans working in Lenovo are more lazy ;) ?
I have a Sony NW-E507 walkman and wanted to update it's firmware one day.
On the Sony USA website they have a flash file which is broken - when you flash the mp3 player, you just brick it.
I had to download a firmware from the japanese Sony's website and everything's fine now.
Sony USA haven't changed it for almost two years.
They just don't care ...
I believe it's quite similiar with Lenovo ...
