T500 budget system ordered

Hi guys I'm a happy owner of T42 for 3 years now (ordered in September 2005). I've been using Thinkpad for Business mostly and I also own MacBook for home stuff.
I placed my order right in the time when IBM sold to Lenovo and got a sweet deal on my current system. Well 3 years later my system is Very old

I placed an order on a new system on September 2nd and ship date is September 16, 2008.
The most important thing for this system for me was a resolution. I had to have 1680x1050 as I do a lot of remote connections and all my PCs screens are 1680x1050 native. I also learned from my current T42 that I don't use a lot of options that I decided no to get such as (finger reader, DVD writer, 9 cel batt etc.)

Also I was trying to decide between T61 and T500 and decided to go with T500 as it's new model!

Little update
Well I called Lenovo today to check status on my order to find out that they had problem charging my debit card I used. Apparently my bank doesn't have my shipping address (my work address on file) and charge didn't go threw. I did see the charge appeared on my account on the next day after I placed an order but it went away after 3 days. I did a little research and found out from people on forums that this is typical process when company making sure you have enough funds on the account but real charge happens on the day of shippment (not my case I guess). So anyway I had to agree to change my shipping address to be the same as my billing address and amount of my order jumped from $989.25 to $1043.91 which includes $4.95 shipping and $49.71 taxes. I mentioned that I understand the taxes part but why I have to pay the shipping as shipping was free on original order, he suggested to me to talk to other department about this (I decided not to as it's only $5 and I don't want make things even more complicated)
Now this happened in the morning and I still see no new charge posted on my account, my guess it will probably happen tomorrow or late at night as they 12 hours ahead of us. I also think that shipping date will also move to later date I hope not but we'll see.

Did anybody had similar issues with Lenovo? If yes please share...

btw, I never got any confirmation emails from Lenovo, not when I placed original order, not now. I called them on the same date I placed original order and rep told me that I will receive one in a day or two but apparently he lied.

I finally got a confirmation email from Lenovo today. Not about the shipping but about the order 8 days later
They still didn't charge me yet (but I'm sure it's coming next)

I got a shipping confirmation this morning, the charges also appeared on my bank account (I didn't have to worry about it).
One strange thing, In the morning the UPS status was showing delivery date September 15th (monday) at night it says Billing information recieved
