T400 Verizon WWAN poor reception

T400 Verizon WWAN poor reception
The Verizon WWAN card in my new T400 has very weak reception. It sees no signal at all in one place where my tethered cell phone works fine (also using Verizon EVDO). Is this possible? Or does it indicate I have a bad card, or perhaps the antenna is disconnected?
