LED versus WSXGA+ versus WUXGA+

I'm coming down to the wire on choosing one of the Ts or a W500. When it comes to the best display quality, which one rules the others? Does "backlight" = LED?

Yes, the difference is huge and it's totaly worth the price ...
The screen in CCFT and LED is the same, so display quality is identical - but you'll note a big advantage of LED in the brightness and in the battery's life.

I personally would not choose 14,1" LED WXGA option instead of 15,4" WSXGA+ option - I prefer better resolution than LED backlight.
WUXGA+ ?
If you have 15,4" screen - open this image (_fit image fullscreen!_) and look if you can see everything without your eyes going crazy:

It's really to small for me (had the same problem - WSXGA+/WUXGA+ and decided to buy WSXGA+ 1680x1050 because of screenshots) ...

Thanks for the great response. Which machine are you using now? How's the battery life? Have you also experienced this keyboard flex phenomena?

Hi!
I'm using T61p:
T9300 processor, 15,4" WSXGA+ 1680x1050 CCFT, nVidia Quadro FX570M, 4 GB of memory, 250 GB of hard drive, Ultra Nav with Fingerprint Reader, Intel Turbo Memory, DVDRW, WiFi Link 4965AGN, Bluetooth, UltraWide Band (Wireless USB), 9-cells battery ...

The battery life:
1) WiFi, Bluetooth and UWB turned off ; darkest screen setting, laptop doing almost nothing : 5 hours 36 minutes
2) WiFi, Bluetooth and UWB turned onn ; brighest screen setting, laptop doing almost nothing : 4 hours 2 minutes
3) all settings like in point 2 but I started with 85% of energy in the battery and was watching some movies : 3 hours 36 minutes.

I haven't experienced problem with the keyboard cause I don't own T400/T500 but T61p (with the good one).

For me 14,1 laptop is to small, I don't like working on it (small screen, small casing) but If I liked 14,1's - I would choose T400 with LED option and highest resolution - it's really worth the price.
The difference in the brightness is huge and that laptop runs even 10 hours on the 9-cells battery.
