If you own a docking station with your T400, which one have you choose and why? Several models are offered and I can't deceide which one to pick (big $ differences).

Perhaps if you posted what your goals are for getting a dock it would be easier to suggest which version would best suit your needs.

I have the Advanced Mini Dock. Didn't need card slots or ultrabay in the dock, I did want audio pass through and an included power adapter so I didn't have to mess with digging around behind my desk.

My goals are:
* Have quick connection of laptop to monitor, keyboard, mouse, USB cameras, USB GPS, USB external card reader, USB PDA docking station
* Have wired LAN connection to router
* Perhaps have charger for second spare battery
* Perhaps digital output for HDTV

If you need DVI and speakers connector on the dock, go for the 'advanced mini dock' (comes with adapter) or if you just need VGA and some USB ports, go with 'essential port replicator' (doesn't come with extra adapter).

Ron-gere, part number of Advance Mini-Dock is 250410U. I bought it for my T400. So far, I am satisfied. I should write that I am not fully set up yet in my office.

Thanks, there are similar names around and part #s help avoid errors. Much obliged for your reply.
