T500 or something else

Hi,

after returning my brand new Dell M4400, because the LED LCD had pale colors and the Dell Control Point Application kind of sucked (wlan not yet supported in profile manager  on a machine for 1900 Euro) i'm looking for a new, non-Dell machine now.

Requirements:
I'll be using it for studies, which will include some CAD work (not excessively, but the cad applications will have to run on this machine).
Gaming Performance should be about average, Display resolution either 1440x900 or 1680x1050.

I found the T500, the W500 and the HP8530w which meet this requirements.

T500: comparatively cheap, allround machine. yet i don't know whether or how fine the cad applications run with the ati hd 3650.
W500: works fine with the cad stuff, yet in Germany, it is only available with a resolution of 1920*.... (which is too small for me)
8530w: best graphics performance of that three (3dmark06: fx770m hp = 6000 points , hd3650/firegl v5700 on t500/w500 = 4300 points). But I have no information about the HP software (the Thinkvantage application that come with the Lenovo machines appear to be a very consistent package). Also about 250 Euro more expensive than a T/W500.

T61p: Comes only with 1920 lcd (in Germany), if you choose a model with the fx 570m

Which one would you choose? Did I miss a certain model?

T61p is also available in Germany with the WSXGA+ screen, i.e. 1680x1050 resolution (for example see here, you can configure it with either WUXGA or WSXGA screen).

Cheers

But then again, the T61p is overpriced (about 200Euro with WSXGA) as the standard W500 is about 1500 Euro (W500 at heise.de)
