Whcih messenger bag for a T400 with 9 cells battery?

#1 Post by athinkpader » Wed Oct 29, 2008 3:17 pm

Hi
Thank you for reading my post
I want to order a T400 with a 9 cell battery and I also need a new bag for this laptop, I am just looking to see what is the size of a T400 with 9cell battery and which messenger bags current T400 owners use with it

Thanks.

I don't have a T400, but Tom Bihn and Crumpler are very popular bag companies. I have a Tom Bihn softshell sleeve for my T43 and its the bee's knees. I usually put this in a briefcase. When I'm not using that combo I keep it in a North Face bag that has a laptop sleeve. I also have a Crumpler camera bag and its very well made.

I just picked up a Targus leather laptop bag at a swap meet for $10, and although its got some wear, I'm liking it and thinking of retiring my briefcase.

edit: The North Face backpack is the "Big Shot"

MEC Darwin Shoulder Bag

#4 Post by dk » Fri Oct 31, 2008 2:49 pm

The Canadian retailer Mountain Equipment Co-op has the Darwin shoulder bag which is what I use. It looks good, is well padded, carries the T400 + 9 cell perfectly, and isn't bulky. I also looked at the Tom Bihn, Crumpler, and Trager bags but I didn't want to fork out big dollars for a laptop bag.

I assume these will also work fine for a T61 with a 9 cell battery?

Looking to get a 7 or 9 cell battery for my laptop.

If you are refering to a 14.1" T61 then I should say the both 16" laptops are the same in size and if a bag firs the T400 + 9cell battery it will fit the T61, 14" + 9 cell battery.
I should mention that 7cell batteries are out of market and instead Lenovo cell 9 cell batteries.
