XP BSOD with HD3470

#1 Post by truk » Sun Nov 09, 2008 8:15 pm

I have no problems unless I'm playing a game, but I seem to randomly crash in 3d games. I was getting an infinite loop BSOD with atidvag.dll until I installed the desktop driver version (GPU recovery,) but it still crashes my games. Sometimes it will crash after a few minutes, sometimes it will go a few hours. I've run and passed the lenovo tests, and I've never had a problem anywhere but in games that my 3d acceleration is running. Is anybody having similar problems or found a solution?

Hello,

please check the powermanager options in Catalayst Control Center.
Try to disable powersaving feature.
Hope that helps.

Didn't help, but thanks for trying. Any other suggestions, or does anyone NOT have this problem with 3d intensive games in XP? I've noticed that I can leave it in the game's menu for hours without issue.
Thanks!
