I got a call from an end user that has a new T400 with 9Cell battery and the Advanced Dock (250310U). they are telling me that it will not fit in the dock while the 9Cell is in the system. They say that if they take the battery out of the T400 it will fit. I can not find anything that states you can not use a 9Cell on the Advanced Docking? Do I have a crazy end user or it this true?

I have a T61 14" with the 9-cell and advanced port replicator and it all fits fine.

there is like a flap or a door if you will that folds down when you place the notebook on the dock.

I went to visit the end user to see the issue he was having. Here is what I found. When using the Advanced dock with T400/T500 with 9 Cell battery you need to seat the ThinkPad in the dock by pressing on the center back edge of the ThinkPad, as apposed to pressing on the back left and right corner. It is a tighter fit with the 9 cell.
