I currently use an advanced mini-dock that allows me to use 2 external monitors. 1 thru VGA and the other thru DVI.

I want to be able to use a 3rd external monitor in an extended desktop format. Meaning, for example when I maximize a window, it maximizes only in the current screen, and not across all screens.

I don't have a PCMCIA slot, but I saw a PCMCIA to USB adapter on ebay.

Any ideas?

Yeah, but the question is what if any video card will let me use 3 monitors.

There is one more choice :

If you want only desktop extension, you can use LCD like "LG L206WU" , It has USB connection for "display transfer" called MultiLink.
Of course, it isn't for HDTV movies, games and stuff like this.

Wow, this seems interesting. I have a 17 inch widescreen HP ZD8000 lying around. I guess, I could also connect it to an external monitor, and then use that monitor.

Wouldn't windows actually treat the monitors connected via the multilink as one giant monitor?


Anybody have experience with VTBook?

VTBook worked awesome for me on my XP T-series. Too bad none of the VIsta drivers worked at all for me. I had to move to a USB display afterwards which was never as good.
