Dock w/Radeon x1300 problems

I just had my hard drive replaced (died quick, lost everything. They had the new one here the next afternoon though.) I decided that I wanted to try to install my x1300 dock video card while I was messing around with things. The card works fine in a desktop, but prevents my computer from starting in the dock. The computer can't even get into the bios, it just keeps restarting like its losing power before it can display. I've re-seated, tried different bios settings, (including setting it to auto-assign irqs) to no avail. Once in a while it will start and not recognize the card. Sometimes I can put the running laptop on the dock, and it will even recognize the card (most of the time it keeps running and ignores the extra video card.) It then tells me I don't have enough free resources to run the card, which I imagine is the real issue here. This is supposed to be a compatible card, but that was also in the t60. Does anyone have any comment that could help?
THANKS
Truk

Edited the symptoms, since I got it to regularly display the lack-of-resources issue.

Since I don't have a T400, I can only go by my experiences with the T60p/T61p and this and other cards and the advanced dock . Where you able to install the drivers for the card once you got the T400 hot docked?

Yes, it was after that that I got the error about resources. THANKS!
