Well guys, deciding on which new computer to get was much faster this time!

This the T400 I am planning on buying. I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Couple things to know. I may be splurging a little but its because I will be using an EPP discount.

Are there any coupons that you are currently aware or where I can search for them?

Here's the config...

I believe the warranty is good but I'd appreciate feedback on that as well.

I gotta say a thanks to everyone who helped me narrow my decision and answered all my questions. Thanks a bunch!

I'm hoping to order as early as tomorrow unless there is a compelling reason to hold off (i.e.: Bigger upcoming sale!).

As far as coupons, the Logicbuy black friday coupon is probably the best deal out there at the moment.

We're not allowed to discuss EPP on this forum, so you're on your own there.

Thanks Harry.

I think I'm ok with the EPP (family member)...but I'm not sure if these coupon work with EPP.

Out of curiosity, what prompted the banning of EPP talk? I remember a few years back there were many many people asking to get EPP numbers to use...it was getting pretty bad...

Thanks again!

I would guess that is one of the reasons it is not discussed here. The rule was put in place long before my time. Maybe one of the Admins can explain.

Sharing of codes for special program discounts that are available only to specific users such as EPP, SPP, CPP and educational discounts was prohibited because it's unethical to share codes publicly and because people who had them were getting bombarded with requests.

Discussion about the program discounts was prohibited because some people weren't mature enough to keep from taunting others with "Nah na nah na boo boo, I got the code, and you don't" or "your school sucks 'cause my school has a better deal than yours".

We got tired of all that. It's not productive.

Absolutely. I distinctly remember both happening!

I am pretty sure it is cheaper to buy the 4 cell with your laptop (no charge) and buy the 9 cell as an accessory, rather than the other way around.

That is exactly what I would do. Sometimes it is very nice to employ a sleek battery and have the laptop in an actually nice form factor.

Other times.. you want that 9 cell power brick monstrosity.
