On my 2081-CTO T500 the login screen suddenly changed to 800x600 and I can't figure out how to get it back. Once I log in my personal settings take over and it does go back to full resolution.

The only thing I can think of is that the Lenovo Fingerprint Software had something to do with it. The switch happened after I took the latest update. Unfortunately, I can't remember if it happened immediately after that or not.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

If its like my T400 2764, have a look at the display resolution set in the Display Settings for the Intel 4500 MHD GPU..... its probably set been set to low resolution and needs to be reset to match whatever you have set for the ATI Radeon 3650 GPU resolution.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver.

The drivers all appeared to be installed OK (I get the appropriate icons in the system tray and device manager shows the right version, etc.). But:

1. It happens only after a reboot. Once I log in, if I log back out, the login screen stays at full resolution.
2. Both cards were already set to full resolution. I tried setting the resolution down and back up again just to force a change of state, but that didn't affect anything.
3. It magically (for now anyway) fixed itself. It wasn't after I fiddled with resolutions -- I stayed in 800x600 after both hot and cold reboots after I did the resolution fiddling. However, after a reboot sometime after that, it came up in full resolution and has stayed that way after a couple more reboots.

Go figure!

And now, out of nowhere, it started doing it again. *sigh*

I was getting this too. I think it happens when the Intel graphics card gets set by Windows to #1 in Display properties. I was running on the ATI and it was listed as monitor #3. I disabled switchable graphics in the BIOS and it works fine now (I never switched anyway).
