Hi there.

I'm french so, sorry for my english ;)

I bought a Thinkpad T500 2 months ago and i recently experienced major overheating problems under 3d applications (such as UT3 =D or older games like CS). After 5 or 10 minutes at 70°C (video card), my screen turn on weird things like this http://ellington.tvu.ac.uk/images/power ... haring.png

I tried a notebook cooler but i got the same result after reaching 75°C (and 65/70°C for the cpu)

Is that normal ? I mean, it's not a very high temp, bugued GPU ? so do i need to send my T500 to after-sales service ?

Spec of my T500:
P9500, 4gb DDR3-8500, ati 3650 with 256mb, hdd 160gb 7,2k rpm

Thanks

No question about it you have a defective GPU and it needs to be replaced!

When did you first notice the corruption? Never happens outside of games? What about when you are playing movies or other things?

Try running this program and see if you get corruption

I got first corruption on running Unreal Tournment 3, but I also got it in bios/xp/vista install/vista, so it's a little bit weird.

Under an OS it's only when I play. I can play movies very well, no problem occured. And corruption never happened when i was on battery (at least)
