igo adapter for the t400

#1 Post by albo » Mon Dec 15, 2008 8:58 pm

hi folks,

i have an igo everywhere85 adapter. it's supposed to work for my t43. I've recently purchased a t400, and igo recommends the everywhere130 or everywhereMAX, not the everywhere85. I'm having a hard time finding power figures, but from the little things i've seen around, it doesn't sound like the t400 consumes more than 85 watts. Do you folks think i'll be ok with the everywhere85 (which apparently supplies up to 85 watts peak), as long as I can get the right power tip? I know this isn't an iGo forum, but thought y'all might have some thoughts.

thanks,
allie

I think it'll be okay for on-the-go power. If your notebook is running at its peak (max everything), it may not be able to charge with only 85w. If you find that it doesn't charge, step it down a setting. Make sure you can get a 20v head though. They don't seem to be too picky, but running low in voltage and current would not yield the best results.
