Hi all,
First sorry for my English.
I have taken a new ThinkPad T500. It have Windows XP. And I have format C to install a fresh Windows Vista Business.
And now, I can't boot to Recovery mode when press ThinkVantage.
I have not formated Recover partition (D) yet.
Can you show me how to boot to Recovery.
And can I backup this Recorvery partition? Ex. ghost it and write to DVD?

By formatting the drive, you lost the service partition. The only way to get it back, I think, is to rebuild with the DVD's that came with it.

I know this post is a bit Old but i thought i'd Mention that yes you can backup the "hidden" recovery partition with ghost, if you ghost right as soon as you get the laptop you can use Ghostcast to backup the entire Disk to a network server or such, i'm not sure about backing up just the recovery partition as i believe it has to be setup in the partition table in a specific manor. I've always backed up the entire disk with ghost and i've never had any problems when going back to the factory setup stuff.
if you hadn't done that then you will have to use the recovery discs to rebuild the entire disk.

That's not right. Press and hold F11 on boot (at the splash screen) and you should boot into the recovery partition.
