T500 Ghosting Issue

Hello Everyone
This will be my first post, but as a reference the company i work for just bought 250 T500's and another 50 T61's
we use Ghost extensively here and I've never had any major issues with running ghost on a laptop however i found a strange bug that i can only replicate with the T500.
on any other laptop... or desktop for that matter that i have used ghost on if you try to ghost using "Disk -> From Image" and then select a ghost image that is on a partition of the disk you are trying to image Ghost will usually pop up with a dialog box telling you that your source image is on the destination and it will proceed to ask if you want to preserve the image or erase it. that would be the Normal thing that goes on, however using the same CD that i made or even the actual Norton ghost disc on the T500 it doesn't give you that message it simply overwrites the entire hard drive and removes our second partition and destroy's the image file in the process with out any warnings...
Anyone have any ideas on that one ? it seems to only be the T500 so it must be hardware or BIOS specific somehow, I've tried images from our T61 and T60 series on the T500 and done the restore process just to see if it was our T500 image in someway but this does not appear to be the case. I have also tried different settings in the BIOS for any types of hardware that may or may not affect ghost and have still not been able to get the warning message popup, this isn't "Mission" critical but we did have one of our uses wipe his whole hard drive causing him to lose all the data he had backed up to the D Drive thinking it was "Safe" so any ideas or if anyone else has had any issues like this the information would be most useful,
Thanks
Will Schmidt
