switchable graphics on T500

#1 Post by winslow » Tue Feb 10, 2009 3:35 am

How well do these units perform as far as the graphics card goes? Is it relatively trouble free or are they problematic? I know that they are not for high end gaming but how do they perform in relation to the NVidea cards

An ATI 3650 is about the same speed as an Nvidia 8600/9500.

You can check some benchmark results for the Mobility Radeon HD 3650 and a ranking here. I would say in general this card (incl. equipped with the switchable graphics) is quite trouble-free (there are few reports for hangs/freezing while gaming though). Also, in combination with fast cpu it should deliver some not bad gaming performance. To achieve optimal gaming performance you may have to try out different drivers.
