Wireless went dead on an (almost) new T500

Today, all of a sudden, it just died while I was on a conf call.

It was flaky from the beginning, I tried to update the driver, but couldn't find any new (it has Intel Wifi Link 5300 AGN). Earlier it was failing on things like obtaining DNS address, but now it says "Wireless stack initialization failed"

Typing from my old, reliable, T43.

OS: XP not sure of SP, I'd assume SP3

I would uninstall the wireless card and then reinstall.

If that does not resolve the problem you may have to call Lenovo.

I have checked System Updates history, and the only ThnkVantage udpate happenned on 1/30/2009, when I got the laptop, so I don't think it's any recent updates.

Will try to uninstall/re-install driver.. right now it's hanging on trying to uninstall.

Edit: uninstall worked in safe mode
