How come certain options are only available via the 800#. I know the LED is back ordered, but what about the larger hardrives. Via telepphone there is a 320Gb 7200 rpm option.

Can any expert take a look and give me feedback. I want a fully loaded machine but if any of these option are major overkill please let me know. ALso tips on best way (discounts) to order appreciated.

If you plan to downgrade to XP, then Vista Ultimate and turbo memory are overkill.
You could get RAM cheaper elsewhere. Same for HD (though I don't know which one you chose).
Personally, I can do without fingerprint reader and WAN and WiMax (but you may have a need for it).
