Both my T500 screen and external/flat screen monitor are 1680x1050 (WSXGA+). When I set the resolution using either Select Display Settings from the ThinkVantage Productivity Center, or using the Vista Personalization settings, the laptop screen shows correctly but the external monitor shows full image shows, but "scrunched" on the horizontal. I also have a Lenovo T61... the T61 auto-detects the external wide screen and sets up fine. Maybe I inadvertently modified a setting on the T500? (new/first time setup) Any suggestions on how to set the T500 to pick up the native, wide screen resolution on external monitor? / thanks

Stumbled across the solution myself.. here it is.. hope it helps someone else:
>Personalization>Display Setttings>Monitor>Advanced Settings>ATI Catalyst Control Center>Graphic Settings>Monitor Properties>Adjustments.... make sure "Composite sync" is UN-checked.
