I have 2 T500 laptops. 1 works the 2nd will not stay connected to the internet and does not connect to the router even though it says connected. wrong ip address

the icon in the lower left cornor of the screen says it is connected to ROUTER @ and ROUTER 3 the T500 that works always says just ROUTER

What have I got set up wrong or where do I look to fix this problem?

Thanks
Larry

assuming your t500 is in good shape and wires internally are sound and not mangled up from tinkering inside. I would pull the wifi card out and reseat it along with its antenna wires. Secondly Uninstall your cards drivers and access connections if installed, reboot, reinstall your wifi card drivers and try using windows wireless manager program and see how it goes I seen access connections be a little buggy here and there very finicky. also run cmd prompt ipconfig and ping your router and see if your connected. If it works reinstall access connections and make sure its till working.

Good luck let us know how it goes

well its working right now. but I still loose it in the am
IPCONFIG shows 3 tunnel adapters .. not sure what these are

The Network sharing center shows the ROUTER as MUITABLE routers. Below show ROUTER 2 and Router 3 I only have 1 router. Someplace I have something that thinks there are moutipal routers & causes this conflict ???

Where is router 1?

where do I get rid of the extra routers?

IPCONFIG only shows ip4 & ip6 plus the tunnel adapters

It seems to me that they are the root cause of your problem.

You might want to do some Google searching on how to delete them.
