T500 Display driver problem on Vista 64

Has anyone seen this problem?
I am running Vista 64 SP1 on a new T500. Every once in a while (but at least 5 times now) the display starts to flicker off then come back on again, then a message appears on the Windows Taskbar saying something about the Display Driver has recovered from not responding then it happens again (flicker flicker) then it is dead!
I have not been able to narrow it down to any specific thing I am doing at the time. I am not running any fancy games, just normal Windows business apps. I am using an extended monitor so that it uses both the LCD screen and the monitor as one, but I think it has also happenned without this being the case (just the LCD screen alone).
When I reboot the machine it knows that it has crashed but boots in normal mode fine. Does anyone know what can be done about this?
Thanks,
Joseph
