ThinkPad won't stay asleep

#1 Post by Czechnology » Sun Apr 19, 2009 5:55 pm

Strange problem hapenning.
When I send the T400 to sleep, it soon starts again. Sometimes minutes, sometimes seconds. Even when I close all the usual programs.
What could it be? Some program, or Vista playing with my nerves once again (or rather still)?
Thanks

Go into BIOS and disable 'wake on LAN'.

I had the same issue. Wake on LAN was disabled, all programs closed, USB disconnected before going to sleep.

I had to reinstall Windows (with a format) and its been sleeping fine since then. Try installing all the updates from ThinkVantage.

fafaforza, seems to be the same - all USBs disconnected, programs closed, WLAN turned-off by hardware switch.

[censored] Vista :(
