Clean install questions

Just upgraded from a T41 to a T400 w/ Vista64. I want to do a clean install, but I want to be able to reinstall some of the non-Lenovo software, most notable, Roxio Creator.

I went through the recovery-disc process, but no OS discs were made, only product discs. Lenovo is sending me an OS disc.

When I do the clean install (using marin85's procedure found here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=41404), will I be able to use the product discs to reinstall the preinstalled apps I want to retain?
