T500 keyboard superior to T60 for heat?

#1 Post by ssd_thinkpad » Mon May 04, 2009 2:30 pm

The T60 keyboard fits into a T500. Does the T500 keyboard fit into the T60? After looking at a picture of the T500 keyboard I noticed lots of holes which would be very good for the heat flow, right? As I plan to let my T60 somewhat warm I do like to have an additional way (vertical) for heat flow. Would you recommend a T500 keyboard then in my T60?

The holes in the botton of the T500 keyboard platform will not provide additional cooling, nor should you need it. I just replaced the keyboard of my T500 due to a faulty key mechanism therefore I had an opportunity to closely inspect it. I have three T60's all run cool & quiet. You may want to do some troubleshooting as to why yours runs warm. See this link:
