T400 Hard Drive Clicks

I have a new T400 that the hard drive constantly makes a clicking noise; unusual sound for a hard drive. I've had several other laptops and do not hear these clicks. It's almost as if the hard drive is ready to die; when I rund the HDD diagnostics it shows everything as being fine. I wanted to know is this normal on the T400s, is anyone experiencing this.

Are you definitely hearing the sound from the bottom right-hand corner of the Thinkpad, when open? Can you try and describe the sound more definitively?

It's difficult to describe the sound, the most common thing I can attribute it to is prior to a hard drive fails. Sounds like the hard drive isn't spinning smoothly and trying to an effort to do so. I will hold let it keep going, if it crashes I have everything backed up and still have about 11mos on the warranty.
