Wondering why the screen is placed off center on a T400? PIC

Not a big deal, just wondering why the screen is placed off center on the T400? I'm assuming it is to make room for UltraConnect hardware or other hardware.
I searched for an answer, but didn't come up with anything concrete.
Any thoughts?
