T400 Vista Business Recovery disks are there 2 or 3?

Hi,
I burned a set of Vista business recovery disks on my T400. From my understanding these disks will restore the hard drive of my Thinkpad to factory conditions including restoring the recovery partition.

The first disk that I used was a CD
The second disk was a DVD.

After the DVD, the program did not require me to burn any additional disks and option was grayed out when i tried to rerun the software.

Also, I can't verify if the disks work because, I don't want to blow away my current vista install.

Trolling around forums, i have seen people with T400s who said they burned 3 recovery disks (1CD and 2 DVDs)

So did I do something wrong? I am guessing there are variations depending on the OS you have installed on the machine.

Thanks,

PS: My operating system is Vista Business 32 bit

You're correct that the recovery discs will restore the recovery partitions as well as Vista (I'm still not sure what the difference between "Recovery Media" and "Product Recovery Media" is though).

In my experience it requires 1 CD and 2 DVDs for Vista Business 32-bit. If you're still in warranty a service call to Lenovo should get you a set.

Hmm.... seems like I did mess things up creating my disks.

Anyway, I am under warranty with Lenovo so, hopefully they will send me a set of disks.

Thanks for the info,
